here is my explain writing for my marae

My Goal setting Term 4 2019.

I will try my best to achieve my goals this term.

Recount Writing - Church night

WALT use the correct structure and language for Recount Writing.
When we went to church I cuddled my nan.
Then we went to cuddle my aunties.
Then it was church time.

We did the Haka. I like to do the haka.
Me and my cousins helped me. 

When we finished church me and my mum
went to McDonald's for dinner.
We wanted to watch TV for the rest of the night.
Then we went to sleep. 

When I woke up in the morning to
go to school I got changed and brushed my teeth. 

Father's Day

Father day I used Google Draw to design and create a small Father Day photo for a Keyring gift for my Dad I also wrote a poem or letter to my Dad.

WAL about rotational symmetry Pinwheels We made pinwheels If you make a small pinwheel it spins faster. A bigger pinwheel got stuck on the handle it was too floppy. If you put a fan in front of the pinwheel it spins faster. if you use a bead for a spacer the pinwheel won’t get stuck on the handle.

Matariki Star

Whaea Annie showed us how to weave a Matariki star with coloured paper.

I thought it was very hard. Whaea Annie helped me to finish my star.

Science: Pulleys

We made a pulley to get Mr Grinlings lunch from his house to

the lighthouse.

Pulleys are machines that make work easier.

How many words can I write in ten minutes?

At the start of the term I could write 20 something words.

Now I can write 45 words in ten minutes.

Persuasive Writing- Brushing Teeth.

Teeth are important to help us to eat our food.

So I think we should brush our teeth every day.

Firstly I think we should brush

our teeth are strong.

Secondly I think we should

because when we  eat the
left over food gets stuck in our teeth
so we need to brush our teeth
to brush the left over food away.

Thirdly I think we should our teeth
every day so the bacteria on our teeth will

Recount Writing-Rugby League

I am learning to write my ideas in order. 
These are my ideas about playing rugby league. I told Mrs Paraha my ideas and she typed them for me. 

On Sunday I went with my mum and my dad to the Rugby League in Whangarei. 
 When we got to the rugby fields we listened to Matua Matt. 
 He told us to grab our uniforms and put on our boots. 
After that we practised our catching and tackling. 
Our practise was fun. 
After that we played rugby against Manaia. 
 The game was pretty rough because the Manaia team players 
 were tackling head high and some of our team got hurt. 
Our game was pretty fun. 
 We won because we were tackling and defending and running.
